A kitchen installation starts with decisions about how you cook, store food and move through the room. Furniture Art Company designs and manufactures fitted kitchens from our Bloemfontein workshop. This guide helps you prepare the brief; see our custom kitchen service and project examples for the full range.
Confirm the layout before choosing finishes
Note the positions of doors, windows, plumbing and electrical points. Consider the route between preparation, cooking and washing areas, and leave room for appliance doors and drawers to open. An island should improve working space without blocking circulation. Share a simple room plan, photographs and the number of people who normally use the kitchen.

Plan cabinets around what you store
List bulky appliances, pots, baking trays, groceries and cleaning items before deciding on shelves or drawers. Discuss pantry storage, corner access and bins alongside the cabinet layout. Confirm appliance model numbers and installation dimensions before manufacture, including space for ventilation and service access.

Agree materials and installation responsibilities
Compare door profiles, cabinet materials, worktop options, handles and finish samples as part of the quotation. Clarify which items are included and who coordinates plumbing, electrical work, worktops and appliance connections. Discuss removal of the old kitchen and site readiness before committing to an installation date.

Prepare a kitchen quotation brief
Send your town, approximate dimensions, photographs, design references and preferred budget and timing. We work across the Free State and undertake projects in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Kimberley and towns along these routes; other locations are considered on request. Final measurements and installation scope are confirmed for each project.
