Custom wooden staircases made for your space
A staircase needs to fit the available opening and connect comfortably with the surrounding rooms. We discuss the layout, timber appearance, finish and installation conditions before preparing a project-specific proposal. New staircases and work to existing stairs are assessed individually; the condition of the building and any existing structure affect what is practical.
Arches, panelling and coordinated timber details
Stairs can be planned alongside arches, entrance features, frames and wall panelling so the timber details work together. Send reference photographs to explain the style you have in mind, whether traditional, contemporary or a design that needs to complement existing furniture.
What we need for a staircase quotation
- Location and intended use: tell us the town and whether the project is for a home, business or hospitality venue.
- Plans and photographs: include the staircase opening, adjoining walls, landings and any existing stairs.
- Approximate dimensions: share the floor-to-floor height, available width and length, and relevant access restrictions. These help with an initial discussion; final site measurements are confirmed before manufacture.
- Design and finish: send examples of the timber character, colour and details you prefer.
- Project coordination: identify the architect, builder or other contractors involved, the site-readiness date and your preferred installation period.
From design to installation
We begin by reviewing your brief and the available site information. The proposed design, materials, finish, installation scope and quotation are then agreed before manufacturing. Structural requirements and the responsibilities of any architect, engineer or building contractor should be resolved as part of the project planning.
Manufacturing takes place through our Bloemfontein workshop. Delivery, fitting and coordination with the site team are arranged according to the agreed scope. Production time depends on the design, material availability, workshop schedule and site readiness; it is confirmed for the individual project.

Can you work from our architect’s drawings?
Drawings are a useful starting point. Send them with your location and a description of the work required so we can discuss the design, timber components, measurements and installation responsibilities.
Can you assess an existing staircase?
Yes, send clear photographs of the complete staircase and the areas you want changed. We first assess whether the requested timber work is suitable before confirming a quotation or installation scope.
Do you install outside Bloemfontein?
We serve the Free State and undertake projects in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Kimberley and towns along these routes. Travel, delivery and installation are planned for each project. Enquire about other locations by special request.
What does a custom staircase cost?
There is no single price for a made-to-measure staircase. Dimensions, design, timber, finish, site conditions and installation all affect the quotation. Measurements, photographs and plans help us provide a useful response.
