Custom Pool Tables in Bloemfontein, Designed and Made to Order
Furniture Art Company designs and manufactures made-to-order pool tables for homes, entertainment rooms, lodges and hospitality spaces. Pool tables and matching furniture are developed through our Free State manufacturing workshop.

Size, playing components, frame, timber, finish and accessories are confirmed for the individual project.
Delivery and installation planning
Access, transport, assembly, positioning and final levelling can be considered in the approved scope.
PLAYABILITY MEETS CUSTOM FURNITURE
A pool table planned for the game, the room and the surrounding furniture
A pool table occupies a large part of the room and becomes one of its most visible pieces of furniture. It therefore has to balance playing performance with scale, circulation, material choice and the surrounding interior.
We begin with the room and intended use. A dedicated games room, family entertainment area, lodge, bar or pool-dining space will not require the same solution. Table dimensions, cueing clearance, floor condition, access, component specification and future maintenance all need to be considered before manufacture.

POOL TABLE & ENTERTAINMENT OPTIONS
Custom pool tables, pool-dining tables and matching furniture we create
The table can be developed as a dedicated playing piece, a furniture-led feature or part of a coordinated entertainment room. The approved quotation defines the actual dimensions, playing components, materials, accessories and work included.
Classic custom pool tables
Traditional proportions, substantial timber construction and furniture details for homes, pubs, lodges and character-led entertainment rooms.
Contemporary pool tables
Clean lines, simpler frames and carefully controlled finishes for modern homes, offices and hospitality interiors.
Pool-dining conversion tables
Pool tables with removable or sectional dining tops, planned so the room can serve more than one purpose. Storage and handling of the top should be considered early.
Home and games-room tables
Custom tables for family play, social games and dedicated entertainment rooms, designed around available space and the intended level of use.
Lodge and hospitality tables
Statement pool tables for lodges, guest houses, clubs and suitable commercial or hospitality settings, subject to the required specification and site conditions.
Carved and one-of-a-kind designs
Sculpted legs, carved details, unusual frames, personalised features and distinctive timber choices can be explored for a genuinely individual piece.
Cue racks and accessory storage
Wall-mounted or freestanding cue racks, ball and chalk storage, display cabinets and related furniture can be designed to match the table and room.
Pool-table repairs and restoration
Existing wooden pool tables can be assessed for structural repair, timber restoration, refinishing or selected component work before a repair scope is recommended.
PLANNING THE TABLE AND ROOM
What we confirm before a custom pool table is manufactured
A nominal table size alone does not tell us whether the finished piece will fit or play comfortably. External dimensions vary with the frame and rail design, and the room still needs clear cueing space, circulation and a practical delivery route.
Table size and cueing clearance
Nominal 7 ft, 8 ft and 9 ft configurations can be discussed, as can a custom size. We confirm external dimensions, intended playing area and clearance around walls, columns, furniture and doorways.
Playing components and levelling
The playing bed, cushions, pockets, cloth, levelling method and other components must be agreed for the intended use. If a particular competition specification matters, it should be identified before design approval.
Structure, materials and finish
Frame strength, support, timber or board components, edge profiles, legs, stain, paint, clear finish and dining-top requirements are considered as one coordinated piece of furniture.
Access, delivery and installation
Doorways, stairs, floor levels, site access, assembly space, transport and final positioning can affect how the table is constructed and what delivery or installation work is required.
FROM BRIEF TO FINAL POSITIONING
Our custom pool-table design and manufacturing process
Every table is project-specific. Final price and lead time depend on the dimensions, playing specification, materials, finish, custom detailing, accessories, access, delivery and installation requirements.
Initial consultation
Tell us where the table will be used, who will use it, whether it must convert for dining and the style or features you have in mind.
Room measurements and access
Share room photographs, approximate dimensions, cueing obstructions, doorway and stair measurements, floor information and the project location.
Design, specification and quotation
We define the table dimensions, playing components, frame, timber, finish, accessories, exclusions, delivery scope and estimated programme for approval.
Manufacture
The approved table and any matching storage are manufactured in our Bloemfontein workshop with attention to support, joinery, fit and finish.
Delivery, assembly and levelling
Transport, assembly, positioning and final levelling are completed according to the agreed quotation, site access and installation responsibilities.
SPECIFIED FOR THE WAY YOU WILL PLAY
A beautiful pool table should also be clearly specified for everyday play
A furniture-grade pool table still needs a clear playing specification. The approved quotation should state the intended table size, playing-bed arrangement, cloth, cushion and pocket requirements, levelling approach, accessories and any installation work included.
This is especially important when the table must support frequent use, a pool-dining top or a specific ruleset. Clear decisions before manufacture reduce uncertainty and allow the timber frame, supports and finishing details to be developed around the chosen components.

PREPARING A USEFUL QUOTATION
Information that helps us understand your custom pool-table project
Your first enquiry does not need to be technically complete. The details below help us understand the room, intended use, likely table specification and practical delivery requirements.
Project location and intended use
Tell us the town, whether the table is for a home, lodge, club, office or hospitality setting, and how frequently it is expected to be used.
Room photographs and dimensions
Send clear photographs, approximate length and width, ceiling or light positions, nearby furniture, columns, doorways and any areas where a cue may be obstructed.
Preferred size and table functions
Indicate whether you are considering a nominal 7 ft, 8 ft, 9 ft or custom table, and whether it must also function as a dining or meeting table.
Style, timber and finish
Share reference images and describe the preferred traditional or contemporary style, timber character, colour, stain, paint, edge profile and custom detailing.
Playing specification and accessories
Mention the intended ruleset or level of play, preferred cloth colour, pocket style, playing-bed requirements, cue storage and accessories where known.
Access, timing and budget guidance
Include doorway and stair measurements, floor level, target completion period and budget guidance so the proposed scope can be practical from the start.
CUSTOM POOL TABLE QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions about custom pool tables
What pool-table sizes can you manufacture?
Nominal 7 ft, 8 ft and 9 ft configurations can be discussed, as well as custom dimensions. The final external size and playing area depend on the chosen frame and component specification, so both must be confirmed before manufacture.
Can you build a pool table that converts into a dining table?
Yes. A removable or sectional dining top can be considered when the table, room and handling method suit the idea. The design should address top storage, weight, protection of the cloth and comfortable dining height.
Are your pool tables made from solid wood?
Visible timber, internal framing, board components, playing bed and other materials are selected according to the design and quotation. Ask for every important material and component to be stated rather than assuming one construction method.
Can the table be supplied with a slate playing bed?
Slate and other playing-bed arrangements can be discussed. The exact type, thickness, sections, support and installation included must be confirmed in the approved specification and quotation.
How much room do I need around a pool table?
Start with the finished external table size, then allow usable cueing space on every side. Cue length, walls, columns, seating and other furniture affect the real clearance required. Send room measurements so the layout can be reviewed.
Do you deliver and install pool tables outside Bloemfontein?
Suitable projects elsewhere in the Free State or South Africa can be discussed. Feasibility and cost depend on table size, transport, access, assembly, travel and the installation work required.
Can you repair or restore an existing pool table?
We can assess suitable wooden pool tables for structural repairs, refinishing, replacement timber components and selected restoration work. Playing components may require specialist assessment depending on their condition.
What should I send when requesting a pool-table quote?
Send the project location, room photographs and dimensions, preferred table size, intended use, inspiration images, style and finish, access details, target timeframe and budget guidance where possible.
